Provide support to customers/users where the product is technical. Provide technical support to customers, field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are debugging systems. Respond to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software. Report design, reliability, and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering. May be involved in customer installation and training.

Technical Support Engineer with German

The Technical Support Engineer will work with customers to resolve their application and product issues, which will allow the customer to maintain their automation system.

Your responsibilities:

• Provide Support services to internal and external customers remotely, by phone and mail (50%, 50%).
• Technical Support Engineer for Rockwell Automation Software products and 3rd party products.
• Support individual customer requirements.
• Member of our Software team.
• Responsibility for German and English customers.
• Create / Update Knowledgebase articles and being responsible for the technical content.

Additional information:

• Work from Monday to Friday in standard working hours.
• Hybrid work from Katowice (Poland) or Dusseldorf (Germany), depending on your localization.
• You will report to your Hiring Manager - Team Leader of the Remote Support department

Our Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems (other degrees considered based on relevance to the role).
• Structured, well (self) organized, and proactive.
• Being fluent in English and German language skills are mandatory.
• Knowledge of the product range and applications of industrial automation in connection with software solutions and IT systems.
• An analytical and structured approach to troubleshooting.
• Motivated, communicative, and team-oriented personality.
• 1+ years of experience in programming, network topologies, and protocols.
• Motivated to continue learning and willing to improve the own skillset.
